Prairie Quilt Guild honors HMH Veterans

Monday, Nov. 12, 2018 was a special day for 17 Veterans that reside at Holdrege Memorial Homes.  The Prairie Quilt Guild along with the HMH quilters presented "Quilts for Veterans: to 11 residents that served during the Korean War era.  This is the second year that quilts have been presented to HMH residents.  Last year WWII Vets were honored.  Alice Erickson of the Prairie Quilt Guild stated, "We have presented 60 quilts in the past two years to area veterans.  It is one way that we can express the gratitude we owe them."  The quilt presentation was attended by over 50 individuals.   Earlier in the day, the HMH veterans and a guest were treated to a breakfast of steak and eggs.
