Health Care Activities Room

Health Care residents enjoy many activities their central Activity Room, which is located on the 1st floor in the southeast side of the facility. It is in the Activity Room that residents can enjoy activities such as baking, quilting, playing games and also watching television. The activity room also houses Holdrege Memorial Homes’ DVD and video collection that residents are able to enjoy. This room also serves as a gathering place for residents, friends and family.

At Holdrege Memorial Homes, residents enjoy a wide variety of activities every day of the week. Our residents can take part in activities such as baking, our weekly book club, gardening in our courtyard, Bingo and other games, and a wide variety of other activities.

Our activities department staff strives to provide our residents interesting educational programs and musical entertainment. We have been entertained by Elvis and Patsy Cline impersonators, a couple of Nashville recording artists, local high school band and choir groups and local church youth groups, just to name a few.

Our Chapel/Community Room is used on a daily basis for activities ranging from Chapel services on Sunday afternoons to Bingo to musical entertainment, and even for showing movies. Located within the Chapel/Community Room is a 9 foot screen and projector, which makes it almost like going to a theatre!

Holdrege Memorial Homes also has its own in-house television channel, which residents can use to not only find out the activities schedule for the day, but also view movies, listen to devotions, watch local church services and see the daily menu.

We also hold several special events throughout the year including our annual Halloween Extravaganza, a Christmas Open House and special celebrations during National Assisted Living Week and National Nursing Home Week.

As you can see, life at Holdrege Memorial Homes is definitely never boring and there is always something for everyone!
