The Assisted Living Activity Room at Holdrege Memorial Homes serves as the social hub for our residents. Located on the second floor of Holdrege Memorial Homes, it is in this room that they gather to play cards, visit, have coffee and snacks, sing hymns, watch television, play Wii games, and a wide variety of other activities.
Holdrege Memorial Homes offers a comprehensive activities program for Assisted Living residents to participate in. Activities include visits from local preschool, school and church groups, bell choir, Wii bowling, cards and games, hymn sings, book club, musical entertainment and education programs. Our activities staff is always working to bring new and exciting programs and entertainment for our residents to enjoy. Exercises are also offered to Assisted Living residents on a daily basis in our Wellness Room.
Residents are strongly encouraged to pursue the hobbies and leisure activities that they have enjoyed while they were still living in their own home. As a matter of fact, several residents at Holdrege Memorial Homes who love gardening have even taken to growing their own tomatoes and planting their own flower beds and planters!
Along with special activities, Assisted Living residents enjoy coffee and snack time twice a day in our Activity Room on the second floor. This offers them the opportunity to visit and interact with old and new friends alike.
The Spiritual Ministries department also conducts a special Bible Study for Assisted Living residents.
