Holdrege Memorial Homes celebrated National Assisted Living Week by showcasing the creative talents of the residents, families, and staff.
The theme for the week, "A Spark of Creativity", had residents learning about the Nebraska Prairie Museum, Ross Winz with his mountain dulcimer a recognition party for the 2018 Give2Grow donors, piano sing-a-longs with Trudy Ekberg and Sharon Lueking, and a visit by county commissioner Teresa Puls.
Crafts, quilts, and paintings made by residents and staff were displayed throughout the week. The festivities culminated Thursday evening with the annual Friends and Family barbecue where Cindy Boehler entertained the crowd with several musical selections.
