HOLDREGE – The Holdrege Memorial Homes Foundation has awarded seven scholarships to staff or children of staff members. These scholarships reflect the Foundation’s commitment to supporting lifelong learning, supporting a future workforce, and investing in the futures of those who are part of the HMH family.
HOLDREGE – The Holdrege Memorial Homes Foundation has awarded seven scholarships to staff or children of staff members. These scholarships reflect the Foundation’s commitment to supporting lifelong learning, supporting a future workforce, and investing in the futures of those who are part of the HMH family.
“HMH is more than a workplace — it’s a community,” said Kristine Jacobson, Public Relations and Foundation Director at Holdrege Memorial Homes. “These scholarships are our way of recognizing the hard work and dedication of our staff and helping them and their families pursue their educational goals.”
The scholarship recipients represent a wide range of academic and career interests, from nursing and mental health to recreation and science. Scholarship recipients pursuing health-care related fields were awarded $1,000, while applicants studying in other career fields received $500 scholarships.
The 2025-26 HMH scholarship recipients are:
- Shila Khatri – HMH nurse, studying to obtain a bachelor’s degree in nursing at the University of Texas at Arlington.
- Chloe Obermier, HMH Housekeeping and Laundry, studying mental health counseling at Capella University
- Isabelle Raine Alloway, HMH CNA, studying paramedicine at Central Community College in Grand Island
- Reyclyn Robison, HMH CNA, studying criminal justice and political science at the University of Nebraska at Kearney
- Mason Schroeder, son of HMH employee, studying PGA golf management at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- Andrew Jacobson, son of HMH employee, studying computer science at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
- Zach Rademaker, son of HMH employee, studying at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln
Scholarship funds may be used for tuition, books, and other educational expenses at accredited colleges, universities, or vocational programs.
