Holdrege Memorial Homes Praises Veteran's for Service

On Friday, Nov. 10, Holdrege Memorial Homes celebrated the service of their 14 Veterans.  A brief video was shown comprised of photographs and stories submitted by the Veterans and their families.  Each gentleman was presented with a certificate of appreciation and commemorative pin.  The Prairie Quilt Guild and the quilters at Holdrege Memorial Homes presented Quilts of Valor to the WWII Veterans.  Quilts of Valor are given to service men and women who were touched by war.  To date, over 171,000 quilts have been given nationwide.  The veterans who were honored are Delbert "Red" Ellner, Lloyd Foster, Jim Johnson, Lloyd Johnson, Glen Lindstrom, Bill Manley, John Paulson, Dale Phillips, Eugene Post, Ervin Rademaker, Ed Reiman, Arnold Schoen, Tom Waggoner, and Gerald Weber.
